their shell: By first impressions, Taylor is a high school beauty queen with excellent fashion sense. A closer look turns up an artificial arm and leg, her prosthetics gleaming in a way human skin never does. There is no way to see the alien slug inside her head but she is very much there. The body has been weaponized. Their false arm is stronger than an organic one and can spray paralyzing toxins or blast through walls. This disastrous duo also sports a reinforced polymer skull. Leg modifications are unknown but likely.

the Yeerk: From the canon-point she is arriving from, Sub-Visser Fifty-one is the second most powerful Yeerk in the Earth region, second only to Visser Three; she is recently in disgrace for failing to break and infest a valuable prisoner, and then allowing him to escape. She is usually calculating and insightful with all the arrogance of a commanding officer of the Yeerk Empire. She is also insane, her personality and priorities blurred with those of her human host. After years of working with a voluntary host, although she is still an excellent liar, her control over her host has weakened. By headcanon, her Yeerk name is Kaleit 554.
the girl: Taylor is the daughter of the chief of police in the Animorph's Californian hometown and the survivor of a horrific fire that left her severely injured and traumatized. She became a voluntary host in exchange for the advanced medical technology The Sharing offered and the chance to live as she once had. Beneath her self-possessed exterior is an insecure girl, burned by the rejection of her former friends and ashamed of the part she has played in the invasion of Earth, especially her mother's involuntary infestation. Her personality and memories, pride and neuroses, are mixed in with the Sub-Visser's. At this canon-point, she has not yet realized the Sub-Visser's betrayal.
